Danish artist Jens Galschiøt has initiated his biggest project to date, The Children of Abraham, with a huge art installation aimed at focusing on and creating dialogue about religious fundamentalism.
The installation consists of a sculpture of 4 meters high, built of 8000 handmade copper models of the Torah, the Bible and the Koran. The copper books form the word "FUNDAMENTALISM" in a Stonehenge-like construction, and beneath the letters are selected light and dark quotes from the three sacred books.
The Abrahams Children project, with the sculpture and the quotations as the center and the art as a starting point, will initiate the dialogue between the three monotheistic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
